Music Together Class in Dallas

Great News! The Music Together Bongos collection has started and over 100 families are jamming and dancing to the upbeat sounds and songs.

I usually have a few favorites on each collection that I can just delve into and peel away the musical elements, as I present them to the children and caregivers. Well, on this collection, every song is a favorite. My biggest problem will be that the semester is way too short to complete all the possible lesson plans that I can think of. And 12 weeks is 2 weeks longer than any other semster.

So far we have syncopated "Hey diddle diddle and sang a 15 minute version of "she'll be coming round the mountain". We could have sang that the whole class and still had more ideas streaming in!

Can't wait to hear all the new and exciting interpretations your kids have come up with at home.

Here is some fun feedback for past and current families:

I wanted to tell you that their very favorite song is the one you just sang below -- Hello everybody, so glad to see you. I sing it to the twins every time they wake from the night or a nap. The funniest thing is that whenever one of them is crying (and we can't quite them on our own) all it takes is popping in the cd -- works like a charm each and every time! No matter how wound up they are in their fit they instantly stop when they hear that song. Sometimes it takes playing it several times before the fit passes but we don't hear a peep while the song is playing -- it's transe like. Family & friends get a big kick out of it! Thank you for providing two cd's -- one is always in the car, in the player and ready to go, while the other is in our home cd player. Nan M (about the twins aged 8 months)

You'll be pleased to hear that Sam was doing vocal warm-ups last night as he was going to bed. His dad and I had put him in his crib and were watching him on the monitor. I noticed him drumming the bed (like we do on the floor in class) and then saw his arms going up and then back down to the bed. We turned the monitor up to listen and he was doing the roller coaster with his voice (just like you do at the end of the "Hello Song"). Jennifer S (about Sam aged 1.10 years)

Jack in the box, still as a mouse... ……..I've been listening to my Jack sing this for the last 10 minutes while playing with his Jack in the Box toy.
we really do love all of our music together music! Deanna K (about Jack aged 3.10 years)
